It’s simple… each of our venues has a Bayleys Plate Up for Love dish on their menu.

Every time you visit a participating venue and order the Bayleys Plate Up for Love dish, a contribution is made to Food for Love.

Every Bayleys Plate Up for Love meal ordered across all the venues during promotional period contributes to the total fundraising pool. The more we can raise as a community, the more Food for Love can nourish our community and nurture social connections through nutritious food.

Why is Food for
love important?

Founded in 2016 by Rebecca (Bex) Sarginson and Louise Carnie, Food For Love is a charitable organisation which provides a free home cooked meal to people in need in the Upper Clutha region. Recipients are generally going through a challenging time, such as an illness, bereavement, injury or are elderly. All recipients are nominated by someone in the community. Several of these challenges are often exacerbated by the Upper Clutha’s unique location, as many people have no family or other support around them here.

Food For Love’s vision is to nourish our community and nurture social connection through nutritious food. Their aim is to ensure that no one in the Wānaka region is without a meal if they need one. Their team of volunteers prepare nourishing meals and baking from within their own homes and deliver them to Food for Love recipients. In addition, bulk cooked meals are provided by the team for the elderly at weekends or at other times as necessary.
